Job Title: Doctor (Tribal Health Fellow)
Location: Kalahandi district, Odisha
Duration: 12-month paid fellowship
Role Summary:
Swasthya Swaraj Society is seeking passionate MBBS doctors for our Tribal Health Fellowship. This fellowship provides a unique opportunity to work directly with underserved tribal communities, delivering healthcare, engaging in health education, and contributing to community-based research. Ideal for doctors who are ready to step out of their comfort zones and make a tangible impact in a challenging, low-resource setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary healthcare, conduct patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Participate in health camps and outreach programmes in remote villages.
- Mentor and train local health workers, strengthening community health capabilities.
- Address community health issues, including preventive healthcare and nutrition.
- Conduct research to develop solutions for unique health challenges in tribal areas.
What We’re Looking For:
- MBBS degree with Medical Council Registration (valid license to practice in India).
- Compassionate, adaptable, and willing to work in remote areas.
- Strong diagnostic skills and commitment to ethical, high-quality healthcare.
- Interest in learning and unlearning within a culturally rich tribal setting.
- Open to doctors at all experience levels, including recent graduates.
